A Local Directory Built to Help You Live Well—Right Here in Georgian Bay
myGbay.ca is a community lifestyle directory created to help people in Midland, Penetanguishene, Tiny, and Tay discover the best local services, events, and activities that support healthy, happy, and purposeful living.
It was built by Ron and Barb, two residents who, in their own search for a more meaningful life after 55, realized that many people were looking for the same thing—more clarity, more connection, and more reliable local information. myGbay was created to help meet that need.
Why the Directory Was Created
Ron and Barb had already begun exploring how to live with more health, happiness, and purpose through their online initiative SeizeTheBay.ca. As that platform grew, they started hearing the same question from others: “Where do I actually find the local services, classes, or groups that support this lifestyle?”
There wasn’t a simple answer. Great things were happening all over North Simcoe—but they were hard to find unless you already knew where to look.
So they built myGbay.ca—designed not just for themselves, but for others in the community who wanted to live more fully and needed a better way to connect to what’s out there.
What You’ll Find on the Site
myGbay.ca is focused on clear, useful information for people who live here. The site is easy to navigate and growing every week, with listings organized into helpful categories, including:
- Local services (plumbers, health clinics, tech help, and more)
- Activities & wellness options (fitness groups, walking clubs, creative classes)
- Events & entertainment (markets, concerts, workshops)
- Volunteer & purpose-driven opportunities
- 55+ friendly filters for accessibility, affordability, and community fit
Each listing includes core details like contact information, service descriptions, and map locations. Businesses and organizations can claim their listings to ensure accuracy and keep residents up to date.
How It’s Connected to Seize the Bay
While Seize the Bay is focused on personal growth, self-reflection, and living with purpose—especially after 55—myGbay.ca is the practical companion. It helps people take action by finding what’s available locally to support their well-being.
Together, these platforms aim to help people not just age—but thrive.
Built by and for the Community
myGbay isn’t managed by a corporation or government program. It was created locally, using real knowledge from people who live here and care about their neighbours. It’s designed for everyone—but with extra attention to the needs of adults 55+, who often face more difficulty finding age-aware services and inclusive experiences.
As the site grows, Ron and Barb hope to gather and share the knowledge of others in the community who are also thriving—so the directory becomes a shared tool for living well.
We’re Just Getting Started
We’re continually adding new listings, improving features, and making the site better based on feedback from people like you. If something is missing, incorrect, or unclear, we want to know. You’ll find a feedback link on every page—or you can reach out via the contact form.
Explore. Connect. Live Well.
myGbay.ca is your starting point to discover what’s here, what’s possible, and what might just make your life a little better.
Thank you for being here—and for helping us build something useful, local, and lasting.
